The Swan
By mysticventures
The Swan swam silently southward
serenely
solemnly
searching
sedulously
In hope that
somewhere
someplace
someday
sorrow
Will fade with the call of a distant love

you know Lylani - I must admit the 'form' of this piece was left to cosmic chance - though I'll be the first to admit it worked wonderfully :)

I find the form of this very seductive, And the write itself simplistic beauty, very well done

Yes the form, accidental or not. Turn your head on the side and it resembles a swan in flight. I also hear voices LOL. The simplicity adds so much more for the reader to ponder on. Well captured.

y'know... i just got done "chatting" with you on the chatterbox and although i've decided rather quickly that i don't much like you i do have to say that your poetry is pretty good. i like the simplicity with which you deliver more complicated raw ideas.

I can relate to this Swan. It seems this is just what one must do, flow south where it is warmer sometimes, and persevere simply to hear the one missed very much. Beautiful piece this is.
