hyperventilation

By freudian-slip

To be wrapped
pretzel twisted
around your skin
knowing
my fingertips
are the only part of me
not able to feel
for it seems
their one and only function
is to trace the lining of your soul
knowing nothing else at that moment
but the depth
of your breathing
into the part of me
that wants to be screaming
holy shit this is so fucking god damn everything
and when carbon dioxide
takes the place
of oxygen
it only intensifies
how much
I love you inside of me
