Brouhaha...

By SolApathy

If it were to be
What would you see?
My life of broken mirrors
Hiding within the pain
Brouhaha of empathy
When I felt the lips of your soul
Far deeper than anything physical could ever
..Go
I exploded with emotions I never thought I would
Know
How did you pierce this shell?
My mental hell?
Take my breath away
Winds of the darkness
Blown astray
If only for a moment I escaped the pain
The insane trap of the drugs that keep me in check
(Or so they say)
Are you the drug that I needed?
Yesterday?
Before I fell
Lost my sanity and found myself in my own
…Hell
Dreaming and crying
Lying to myself that this feeling will never end
Knowing deep in my mind the darkens will soon return
…Again

Lips of the soul...now there's a striking line to conjure up a unique image that frequently belabors only the eyes SA. Brouhaha brings to mind another place and time too. Cheers! - Dan
