  • ""Beauty abandons everything Like the rose's vanity The petals fade, but not the thorn" Oh how I keep dwelling on those words. "

  • "How eye opening to be able to see something like this through your eyes, and yet i know it's only a brief glimpse and in no way conveys the true trauma of such a thing. Although it made me sad, it filled me with anger and my immediate though was rage and revenge for you. I wish you all the best on your life's voyage."

  • "Although I have not read all of your work this by far is the finest I have laid my eyes on. A glimpse inside your mind...makes me think of all the things I have read touching on such subjects from Nietzsche, to Ralp Waldo Emerson, to Herman Hesse. Our preoccupation with bloodlines and ancestors with DNA and boundaries of our motherland to the genealogy of morals, and what was once a sin becomes a virtue, the transformation that Zatathustra spoke of (from camel to lion to child) to strike down the dragon whos every scale is emblazoned with "thou shalt not", and as Siddartha spoke of man on tip toe to peek either at the past or the future while the now passes by unlived or in Deamon the concept of killing ones self again and again to rise reborn like a Phoenix. It is this piece above others I applaud with great zeal."

  • "I agree with Wednesday Adams, this is comforting in some oddly sad way no feeling of panic but just the giving in to that silence and nothingness. My first read of your work and I enjoyed it. Thank you."

  • "Pensive and beautiful. My mind melted into this as I read on and upon finishing left me aware of the silence around me and lost in contemplation. Thank you. I look forward to checking out more of your work as this is my first time stumbling upon you."

  • "This conjures up memories of a frantic life I use to know...very well put and although this type of poem could be applied to many themes there's only one that it fits too well for me. Great work."

  • "Drea, thank you for the kind words. And since you have experienced visits in these homes, if one could call such a place a home, I'm sure you can understand the atmosphere of such a lonely place...part hospital, part jail, part insane asylum. Dismal. Nobody should live their final years there."

  • "Thank you Willow, it has been some time since I've even reread this myself. I thank you bc it's your poem "Silent Choir" that brought me back to this site to read others as well as review my own...and for that I am truly grateful. Who knows, I may just find some renewed enthusiasm to write but that will either happen or it wont...these things must give birth to themselves. Thank you again Willow...I'll be checking up on more of your poems soon."

  • "Creatureofthenight, as always thank you very much. This was an oldie of mine that just rejects materialism and pageantry...seems that not only do we need it in this life to feel worthy but also after we're gone."

  • "Thank you Creatureofthenight, I usually write from experiences cloaked in metaphors, or in this case from studying the history of my ppl and the genocide by colonizing countries and religions, and that is the story I tell here. Thanks for recognizing that."
