Truth About Us
By Glass eyes
Im sick of the lying,
And im sick of the crying.
Im sick of the misleading,
And my heart that won't stop bleeding.
All along I knew the truth,
Except I couldn't bring myself to let loose.
You pretended to care,
And be there.
But little did I know,
that you were a foe.
I trusted you from the very start,
Even though you broke my heart.
Over and over and over again,
do you like to watch me suffer and be in pain?
Because if so what do you gain.
Yes I did love you at one point,
until I realized you exploit.
Tricking girls for you're own selfish need,
And betraying a brother lies you feed.
So here I say yes i care,
and yes I will always be here.
But I can no longer trust or tell my secrets,
To someone who lies and is deceiving.
Im always here whenever you need,
but please realise that although I care my heart can not be unlocked by
you.
As I already gave away the key.

I relate to this on so many levels. We give so much of ourselves to the ones we love and when it's not returned in a way which makes us grow, we lock up the little that's left, very tight

Intimate and revealing. One can only hope that when they suffer the exploitation and betrayal that they don't become hard and callous and do the same to another innocent heart. I have been both victim and victimizer. Enjoyable read. Keep posting.
