  • "I love the rhyme and the paradoxes, which, combined, really create the feeling of insanity that runs through the entire poem. The almost singsongy feeling created by your rhyming and short-ish longs reminds me of Lewis Carroll, who also wrote song-like poems that could be disturbingly dark beneath the surface. (granted, here the disturbing is much clearer.) The repetition of the first line at the end brings the poem full circle, to a nice close. As someone with depression, I can understand the feeling of "wanting" to be depressed, as it can be quite... cozy. Anyway, thanks for sharing this great write -cheryl"
