Lively Deceased

By happilydepressed

Hello
Do you know
My name is John Doe
I woke up with a tag on my toe
I was a no body that no one missed
Did I ever exist
I walk out of the morgue and into the street
No pulse no heartbeat
Can’t quite understand
I’m a walking dead man
I’m lively deceased
I’m internally diseased
I’m truly lying
Constantly sighing
My body is numb, my flesh is cold, the color of my skin is a greenish blue
Forgotten is everything I knew
Obviously Oblivious
Jokingly serious
Where from
Does life come
And why was there so much pain
Why was there so much I could never obtain
I’m at the graveyard and I’m so glad I came
Found a grave with and without my name
So I’ll crawl in
And just pretend
Pretend I’m dead
And just go to bed
Lively deceased
Let it all be released
Can't breathe
Can't get up and leave
So I'll wait
It's my fate
So in the meantime I'll decay
Smiling as I rot away
My skin now purple and green
I'm a gruesome scene
Peel my dead skin
Reach on in
Tear out a piece
Let me finally rest in peace
Take my name
Take my blame
Keep it in your mind
The one place it will easy to find
All the people I've kissed
All the opportunities missed
Regrets I didn't give a second thought
Excuse me as I rot
I'm living, I'm dying
I'm not trying
Hate is pure
So pure so sure
Hate never dies
Never lies
Love isn’t true
I don’t love you
Love you can’t trust
Love is always lust
Depression so alone
It may go on unknown
You can’t wait
Or it may be too late
Happiness is ignorant to reality
Only the ignorant and those who accept fate do not fear mortality
Happiness is bliss
And beatitude I miss
I found logic in science
I found wisdom in silence
Knowledge is the spoken word
With no God my prayers go on unheard
Life is pain
Death ends the strain
All I know and all I’ve said
Will all be forgotten when I’m dead
In the end all we did is all we’ve done
When we die we’re dead while the world lives on
When we’re alive
And only when we’ve alive will our thoughts and beliefs survive
In the end I’ll be all alone
Resting under a nameless tombstone
In a forgotten graveyard hidden
Knowledge of my existence is forbidden
My friends slowly fade into the shadow of oblivion
All I ever was and were to be is gone
I look into a shattered mirror
I see faces and the voices that I hear
Faintly whisper into wind
Lost and forgotten again
Smiles on my coffin lid frown
I'm so so down
But I fell so high I hit the sky
Saw an angel fly on by
Gave me a wink and kiss
Oh the pain I so miss
Pain is the greatest feeling
It calls for healing
My scars remain
My scars explain
My past my demise
So look into my eyes
So dark so blind
Open your mind
Pull out my memory
Place it in a cemetery
Flowers wither and die
The world doesn't even sigh
Doesn't shed a tear
Doesn't care
Time passes with out a trace
Time has a weathered face
Look into it and grow old
Look and behold
The past, the present, and the future
But what of the unsure
The pure
Can anything endure
No it can't but will
The mound was once a hill
I was once a forgotten name
And I've remained the same

Fuck lenghty, this was perfect. Heh, a bit depressing, but hey that's life. All you said has been thought world-wide, you've expressed it quintessentially with rhyme. An absolite Fave of mine, thanks for writing it;)
