Without ever loving you
By Mistress Shadow
Soft and gliding, the pure experience of sensation
without the evoking stimulus.
How I long to feel you
and drift above and around you.
I will glide past every blade of hair on your arm
as I touch you,
without ever touching you.
The image of our fleshed lips being locked
in a single heart-filled embrace,
as I kiss you, with my lips dangling softly
centimeters from yours.
The warmth of my breath provoking the sensitivity of contact
when there is none.
I passionately kiss you,
without
ever
kissing you.
The delicacy of the flesh is only skin deep
And below the nerves lies so much more.
I love you
without
ever loving you.

Freaking AmaZING. How could I have missed this one? * * * That took me in, and I replayed a scene from my own life, as if you wrote it while watching what was going on inside me. The pain is so familiar, and so . . . accurate, even down to the last stanza. Instant Fav.

ah... you've expressed the intagible with eloquence and precision... the medium for touching need not be through tactile sense... that which is truly touched by any phisical embrace is not the physical surface, nor even just below... feeling is much more

fleeting, as your words so vibrantly convey... with efficiency and edge, yet with tenderness unadorned pointing at that which must remain untouched, unpossessed, free and everso binding... gorgeous!! *bows*
