Raging Lethe
By hate_doll
Without consequence
I plunged
Into the midnight waters
That all the great poets
Have written of
And cried into
Immediately
A release came
With the slicing
Of ice
Through my veins
It burned
Like a Sun
God’s wrath
Inflicted
Carefully
I shall float
Along until
The muses
Tempt me
Balance lost
It will be
Reluctant joy
For my
Hollowing
Heart
The passing time
Suspended in
Current
Though it is steady
Hedonists reign
It is perfect
But he
Reaches out
His hand, smooth&
Cold as a needle
And I
Cannot resist
The unwanted
Element
So I grab his pulse

Reading this was like being made love to by the beautiful muse. Short, satisfying thrusts of rhythm and language.
