For Malice
By Midnight Phoenix
I know of a place where the ghosts wear white masks and
The halls where they walk are all covered in glass
The wind whispers death every time she walks past
With her charcoal black hair and her skin made of wax
I came upon her abode on a mid-winter's night when
The cold was much colder than I would have liked
She invited me in with a smile so delightful
It melted my heart, much like wax on a bright candle
Shadows were dancing against walls of ebony
Her voice so like song that each word held a melody
Turning around, she then held out her hand to me
I knew she had something she wished me to see
She placed her lips on my neck and I felt a slight pain
She whispered to me "You'll never know sunlight again"

Very nice rhyme and flow, and it kept me reading intently to see what it was that you would see... the structure is interesting... almost like a sonnet, but not as stoic. Good job.
