Some Words to Cheer You Up?

By A Broken Soul

It’s raining here
I hope your weather’s better
At least my mind is clear
For the first time in weeks

I haven’t slept thinking
Of the things I should say
To tell you how I’m just
Thinking of those days

Remember walking in the rain?
Never had to feel alone
Now it’s cold outside
And I’m stuck in my home
Just waiting for some words
A chorus or a verse
To come to mind
To explain how you’re the reason
I’m okay inside

It’s hopeless sometimes
But at least we have each other
I wouldn’t want anyone but you
For the job
You get so jealous
And I like to make you it
But in the end you’re
All that really matters

I’ve just been daydreaming
Thinking of how you will
Be coming home in two months
And it seems much further still

We’re always counting down the days
Trying to pass the time
And when you’re not here
Nothing ever feels right
I’ve got my life, I’ve got my friends
But you’re more than them
And I just can’t
Express the words I’m feeling

You always say
It’s only two months two weeks and a day
You always say
That next time will be the last time
But you know
That things never work out as planned
Oh well, just as long as
I’ll get to see you soon again
