Do With Me as You Wish (Just Do Something!)

By A Broken Soul

Why I even bother
I never really understood
Poems are just collections of words
That bounce around in my head

Life changes every day
A new obstacle and I can’t remember
Why last week seems so blissfully
Is it just me or is it something more?

You walked down a separate way and I
Never got the chance to tell you
I live & breathe each moment
In the hope that I can someday describe it for you
And if you’re lonely
Alls you’d have to say is you need
A shoulder to lean on, a friend to be strong
But you only have left me, wounded and moaning

Why I even wake up
A question I face every day
There’s nothing for me without you
But I’m trying to lead each moment as you’d want me to

A baby’s born, every day
A new chance to start things over
I wonder when my time will be
And if you will only be the one I cry over

You walked down a separate way and I
Never got the chance to tell you
I live & breathe each moment
In the hope that I can someday describe it for you
And if you need me
Even just to use me like you did before
I’m always there, for you to leave broken
Ripped and torn, barely breathing
