Forever Reborn
By liquid_emotion
Bodies pressed together
Weightless
Under the sea
My legs wrapped around your hips
Your arms circling my waist
Holding me tight against your body
As the waves move us together
As one
In a sensual, slow dance
Only the fish and sand can share
Watching through clear, perfect waters
While the sun blushes
Coloring our backs, cheeks, shoulders
With its warm glance
As I kiss the perfect droplets
In the deep unending crevice
Between your neck and shoulder
Tasting the heat, and salt, and lust
That burns my parched lips
And makes me ache
Deep
In a throbbing moment
I will forever regret
Pushing away your body
With a soft bewildered hand
Placed gently, firmly
In the middle of your chest
Dropping my feet into endless sand
That swirls up and up
Clouding
The crystal water with a visual wall
Between our now distant bodies
And you have turned away
Before mirk, thought, or desire
Can settle
I follow slowly towards the shore
Stopping
Where the water licks my lower back
Watching
As you turn to glare, staring at me
Misinterpreting my thoughts
So I bend, arching my back
To dip
My head in the ocean behind me
And lift forward again
Slowly
Letting the water drip down
My now heavy hair
As I walk consciously through the last
Waves
Towards your steady gaze
Aware of the wanton desire
Permeating off of you
Aware of the glistening droplets
That magnify my soft skin
Revealing unknown creases and hidden
Wonder
Forever passes away and is reborn
Before dry sand clings to my feet
Again
And coats them layer by layer
As I walk toward you
Never stopping
Or glancing back with satisfaction
At the unbelieving horror in your
Eyes

desire plays a wicked game in sunshine, tropics days. a little slice of winter time, coy, calculated, but still at the whim of the wind. you have captured the push pull of real desire.

That poem was outstanding. The end really gives that whole smooth flow a nice twist.
