Yours to Take Advantage of

By A Broken Soul

Well I
Walked in one day
Into the life you thought you’d
Made so miserable
Never saw the sunshine so strongly
On a baby’s grave

And it’s a shame
That I’m not as good as you make me seem
One day you say
That I’m everything
When did you change your mind so quickly?

Well I’ll try and try to remind you
Of when things were worse off
I was the thing that kept you going
For so long
And now it’s clear
You really could careless that I’m
Miserable without you
Hanging on to the idea
You planted in my head

It’s all your fault
I never knew you’d make things so bad
You pretended to care
And the moment I gave in
You shoved it in my face

And it’s a shame
I never could repay you for
Making me into
The reflection of a girl
That was already bad enough without you

But now you empathize
The misery I try to disguise
So desperately I’m clinging to
Old phrases and pick up lines you used
To con me into your beautiful lies
I’d do anything to pretend I’m all right
Without feeling so miserable
Watching you walk hand in hand with her

And my best friend
Says I’ll never learn
Maybe she’s right
I’m always getting burned
Torched to the ground
In over my head
Sometimes I wonder if I’m better off dead

I wasn't really into the first part of this but, the last two stanzas have a lot of potential. :)
