Tangible Lies
By Rachel
It's been said before
We only love that which cannot last.
You were so obviously fading,
I couldn't help myself.
And oh, the time we could have saved
had you been tangible.
And oh, the tears to never fall
if I were true.
Apologies mean nothing
in today's world of
Professional liars
and
Guns for hire.
But you can't say I haven't tried.
