late with a broken watch

By swing_the_hammer

I broke your heart
so please take mine
I lost the hours
of countless time
I lost my sleep
I hope you rest
My beating heart
stopped in my chest
I couldn't see you
lost my way
I'll chase you down
if you won't stay
Why can't I cry?
You took my sorrow
I'll steal it back
from you tomorrow
I lost the language
from my lips
It's fallen to
your fingertips
I made up the words
to fit the play
You put them out
upon display
I lost the hours
of countless time
I broke your heart
So, please... take mine.
