My Secret Place

By darkness_descends

Living in a sleep eternal,
An escape from this earth infernal.
Free from mundane lectures,
Roaming among a world of specters.
Said to live a life of morbidity,
A misconception of stupidity.
Judging a world where no one goes,
The truth of this world no one knows.
This is my secret place.
Where no one loves, but no one hates,
No one smiles, but no one cries.
Never telling truth, but never telling lies.
This place might be considered cold and dead,
If it existed outside the walls of my head.

I was reading, " The portrait of Dorian Gray" the other day, and one part mentions how it's good to keep secrets. Keeping secrets breaks the craziness of the modern industrial world, so keeping secrets in your mind is a good idea. I think anyway.
