Away On the Wind

By darkness_descends

Half my life I have fought
To defeat the demon depression
For too long have its claws been sunk into my heart
I can fight no more
Having neither the strength
Nor the will to fight
For a life I despise
So I give in to the darkness and tears
Letting the pain and sadness consume me
The white hot sting
Of the demon inside taking over
Cremating me from the inside out
Insinerating my heart and soul
Blackening my mind
Numbing my pain
Boiling my blood
As my life is reduced to ashes
To be blown away on the wind.
