Flow

By Mistress Morbid

You gave me inspiration
And then dropped me in a heartbeat
But my ink still flows
With much more force

I thank you for your help
Although it saddens me
That you are not here anymore
To show me the delights
In writing

..My ink still flows...

Marking the pages
Steadily as I go
In the backround
People pass by me
Not to care to take notice to me
Busily running around occupying
Their time
The fresh scent of brewed coffee
Invades my nostrils as

..My ink still flows...

A new sense of power is
Revealed as the aroma
Billows through the place

..My ink flows faster...

The couple behind me
Start to argue getting louder
With each word they speak

..But my ink still flows...

The door makes a dinging noise
As a woman escorts
The two querreling outside

..But my ink still flows...

The morning turns into day
The day turns into afternoon
The afternoon turns into dusk
Dusk turns into night

..But my ink still flows...

My tears dampen the pages
And I wipe them away
Quickly so that no one would see

..But my ink still flows...

A woman taps me on my shoulder
Miss?.......Miss?

My pen stops..

I look to the lady and smile
Im sorry I must have lost track of time
I gather my books and step outside
I notice a place to sit
And proceed to it
I take a seat and...

My ink begins to flow...

Its getting late
And very dark
Not much light at all

..But my ink still flows ...

  • A former member wrote: Yeah and I loved the way it was broken up with the little variations on "..My ink still flows.." etc. blended in with snatches of everyday life. Wonderful writing, and from a brilliant idea. ~Wish Upon A Star
