Wasting away

By nightshade

Wasting away in your skin
Slowly facing reality
Day breaks and turns to night
Wrapped softly in your pain you lie
Ebony thoughts fill your mind
As you float through the emptiness within
And shattered memories of him
Tortured and twisted is your love
Why do you set yourself up to fall?
You think of your dwindling options
The best way to answer death’s call
Reaching out to others hoping to find a friend
Finding none you scream in vain
So you pick your poison and finally end your pain

I enjoyed this and the title was fitting. The last line was a fitting end.
