The Messenger
By nightshade
shadows gather round
waiting to see
angels stand chained
while innocence flees
there are but a chosen few
messenger wipe the tears from your eyes
for cant you see we are just flesh
he's dying for you
the future born as he dies
from the darkness where there is no light
for light is nothing without dark
so why does the light take your sight
whispered nightmares
brought forth on the wings of night
pure evil shows his face
shadows gather closer
his life they wish to taste
his life ebbs slowly
he fights to hold on
but the darkness that surrounds him
freezes him to the bone
