Numb

By XCryingMinotaurX

mere memory stands before me
my senses tell me its familiar
but i know it not

remembering is all thats left
and sometimes i smile
but mostly i forget

some come and some go
and this is where we rest
everything that could have been
wont be
and time shall pass silently

no regrets to haunt my footsteps
and though i take the brunt of it
it is not my loss to bear

chances are deminished
and i accept what i can get
i will put forth any bodily function
should the need ever arise

breathing freely
but am i free
not completely
but almost
soon
