Blood of Winter

By A Velvet Tongue

Blood of winter
stains the white
casting off
the frigid fright

moonlight splays
across the sheets
anartica's breath
the only heat

raindrops held
within the air
letting us know
winter's here

His blood thick
rich...sanguinary
into his mind
I long to tarry

Cool the boiling
the cauldrons hearth
blanketing all
a soft rebirth

one as he
melds with his title
sweet rarity
within to idle

into his veins
the darkness seeps
in arms of desire
I soundly sleep

each new year
the seasons grant
something new
to enchant

A dreamers orb
open wide
blood of winter
softly slides

crimson tears
coat his cheek
ever more
his soul to seek

let me hibernate
in snow dusted hills..
with blood of winter
freshly spilled...

M'Lady, I don't know what to say...I am not deserving of such eloquent words, you have melted my heart...I shall remember these words forever as the greatest compliment anyone has ever given to me, and yet again I am captivated by your elegance
