...Reflections of sins, envisioned

Sometime ago
…I broke
Can’t very well say when
Seems for far too long my light has been dim
Barely a shadow graces my mien
I rest my laurels upon melancholy melodies
Synchronicity of a timepiece too long worn
Just a little off, I mourn
Only discerned if you look a little too close
Seconds echo as minutes soon pass, I pose
Fixated upon a moment captured in infinite repose
Juxtaposition of a new day’s dawn and the moment she was gone
Daylight and darkness collided in ways I could not envision
Now in the nether I exist within this prison
No vision or care of a future, beyond
I lay at the shore of this pond
Reflecting upon the mirror of what once was me
In this echo I see
I never moved beyond this broken vision of what I thought was to be
I recognize I should be somewhere else by now
I just don’t know…How or when
Exiled to cognitive incaceration
I begin another laceration
