No one could save me but you
Yet I know we will never be 2
Keep my thoughts to myself as I see your shimmering smile
Thoughts of happiness I haven’t had in such a long while
You can never know how I feel, as this world I let go
Broken too many times
I look back at the hundreds of written poetic rhymes
Soon to be all that is left of me
My emptiness I clearly see
Filling it, so hard I tried
In the end, dreams are just another lie
A place we can never reach
A lesson no one ever wants to teach
I lay upon this solitary beach
Thinking of a voice, now so far away
If she was still here—So much I would say
Alas she was taken far too soon
Never having the chance to bloom
Now I alone am dying in this room
Little by little, because it can’t be fast
Falling apart is a long, arduous path
I look to the shadows of moonlight, cast
I see imprints of your toes soon to be washed away
I know I’ll never be ok
