...Everything...Was always nothing at all

By SolApathy

…Everything I wanted turned out to be nothing at all
Just another fall
Reminiscing regrets
Don’t fret
The board was long ago, set
Your moves were never your own
Alone, yet I feel the hands of fate
Taking without a chance to debate
I can’t even feel hate
Resigned to be maligned
Intelligent design
Or so they say
Free will was never taken away
It was never in the first place is what I say
I roll a dice of chance loaded with all 1’s
What is the point of trying
Is the only winning move dying?
