Symphony...A sickness that took you.
By SolApathy
The world killed me
I didn’t have a chance
A flash romance
Cut short by a symphony of sickness
Burdens of Bricks
Laid heavy upon a dream that couldn’t sustain
Wicked weight of cancerous knowledge
Slammed and locked doors of hope
Leaving only a diagnosis of death and a rope
She spoke
Of a desire to fight
A chance that might as well have been Zero
She became the hero
Her eyes beamed of a love the cancer didn’t show
It didn’t know
Tenacity of her desire to give us so many more days
She Fought 6 months past the day
Her vigor a testament to the fire in her eyes
She never gave up
Even when she died
I didn’t have a chance
A flash romance
Cut short by a symphony of sickness
Burdens of Bricks
Laid heavy upon a dream that couldn’t sustain
Wicked weight of cancerous knowledge
Slammed and locked doors of hope
Leaving only a diagnosis of death and a rope
She spoke
Of a desire to fight
A chance that might as well have been Zero
She became the hero
Her eyes beamed of a love the cancer didn’t show
It didn’t know
Tenacity of her desire to give us so many more days
She Fought 6 months past the day
Her vigor a testament to the fire in her eyes
She never gave up
Even when she died
