Taken With a Grain of Salt

By happilydepressed

If I were to live to see no more sorrow
It would be such a long time

I could just wait to see how I feel tomorrow
I could look for reasons I could find the rhyme

I have patience it's my one true virtue
But just like thin ice be careful how you tread

My voice rings false but speaks true
Just like that old novel you once read

Can it be such a horrible way to pass the time alone
To sit in solace not even speaking to myself

Trying to power down and beboot
A hard reset back to factory settings default

You can have my memories and loot
Just take a minute to take it with a grain of salt
