Darkness of the Night and the Coldness of the Ground

By happilydepressed

The night so dark
The ground so cold

I find no refuge in the park
I find no comfort in growing old

I pray in desperate vain on bended knee
I pray for an end to my ordeal

The night casts it's dakness over me
The creeping cold is all I can feel

In the night I have no where to go
The dirt beneath my feet is where I'll rest tonight

And soon enough I'll rest six feet below
The ground is cold and dark is the night
