Jasper The Friendly Foe

By happilydepressed

I can see the angel of vengeance smiles as she sings
"Oh what satisfaction retribution brings"
And all I hear from you is sighs
As your eyes are fixated towards the skies
So you must know you cannot remain
And yet here you are stuck like a stain
Whatever became of your friends who could never remember your name
You acted so suprise when you waited and they never came
I should have sympathy for your tears that flow
I hate to say it, I told you so
Do you remember what I said that day
I begged you not to go and you said you'd be okay
And now your head hangs between your knees at the bottom of my stairs
You think to yourself is there anyone who really cares
As my door closes behind
I'm not the friend you came to find
Why must I be the one you turn to when you have nothing left
Go now my ears to your voice is deaf
Your name is something I wish I didn't know
So I'll just call you Jasper the friendly foe
Come back when you want to be my friend
Other than that I don't want to see you again
