The Fear Of Life

By happilydepressed

The darkness comes a' pouring, soaking in our souls
As the blood flows from our bodies riddled with holes

Evil comes a' creeping
A knife through the heart while sleeping

As evening comes, draw the shades
Turn down the light and sharpen our blades

Choose quickly who will die and who will live
Prepare myself to leave this world without a goodbye

In every corner in, evey mind there is a fear
Some are hidden, others stare back at you from the mirror

And yet still so many take it to the street
Unleashing it upon everyone they meet

The fear of being afraid is what I fear most
Now I'll leave this world only to haunt it as a ghost

My skin will rot and my bones will dry to dust
My heart of cold steel long gone turned to rust

Where fear resides so does life
Now close your eyes and accept death without strife

The fear of life will only burden your mind
Now go along with the reaper and leave it all behind
