Fighting like Hell

Today I saw a songbird
who forgot how to sing,
and an angel try to fly 
broken wings.
she looked like she'd
been through hell
....what a sad sight to
see.


It's been nearly two years,
and she fights every day....
She tries real hard to hide
the pain.
 I'd sell my soul to take
her place...
I'll never forget the night I
heard her pray

She said...

If I ever was an angel,
then I fell from grace.
Dear God,
I know we all have a
price to pay.
But lately I've been
callin' on Jesus and
my faith
because I feel like
the Devil's been  trying
to dig me an early grave
and I've been fightin' like 
Hell,
to keep the wolves away...




Girl I know It's been
hard,
And It's taken a lot of
time to come this far...
without you I'll die of
a broken heart.
So let me hold you in
my arms,
and carry you through
the fire...


She made promise to 
always remember this

She told me....

Baby sometimes death
comes at night like a 
thief,
so don't let love get
robbed by grief.
Because you'll never be
alone if misery is the only
company you keep...

You know I can't tell you
what tomorrow will bring,
but the sun will set in West
only to hurry back around to
rise from the East.
So tonight lets hold on to
one another, and our hopes
and dreams
because we might find out
that  sometimes they're just
out of reach...

So put me in your heart,
and wear it on your sleeve.
think of us every once in a
while,
when memories are all that's
left of you and me.....
