...Razorblade Memories

By SolApathy

In a moment of scintillating thoughts
I escaped the wrath, wrought
Dreams you see can exist as damaged as I may be
Looking at you-- sunrays I see
I could drift into your thoughts, soft as your smile
Abating the darkness as I whisper a thought
Of a love for which I should have fought
The sunset sky with you I should have sought
My hand upon your soul
In my dreams I never let go--watching your flower unfold
Emboldened in these moments I know the right thing to say
Waking--They fade away
Knowing it’s only pain if I look back upon the facts
This is the moment I snap
React
Into the darkness in which I’m trapped
I’ll never get to heaven ‘cause I don’t know how
Resigned I thrown in the towel

…My thoughts always so much more destructive than pills or Patrón
This prison of thoughts, my home
Razor blade memories bleed me from the inside
On the outside—I can hide
The acid of the hell in which I confide
Buried within these steel grey eyes
lies a soul waiting to die
