...Seepage of the Soul

By SolApathy

No more time for grace in this-anti-space
Killing time just writing these rhymes
I am a purveyor of once velvet dreams
Now look to what is left- Only nightmarish screams
I find no comfort in this darkness I pen
Cutting myself with words of sin
Yet I dig into my veins
Searching for an end to your pain
You see I’ve been where you are
I’ve shared both the internal and external scars
Living behind these bars only ones like us can see
The darkness never letting us be

Separated from a world that doesn’t want to see behind the disguise

Trouble behind these storm filled eyes
I dared to dream of a happiness unseen
Twisted mirror reflections are all I see
Since these drugs have entered me
Slow to thought—As my soul, it rots
They whisper to me from the demons they will save
This body is now my grave
My dreamcatcher my slave
The emptiness of shallow thoughts burdens me, not
Time for another dose of unfulfilled dreams
Inject the drugs, I no longer even bother to scream
Transfixed upon a stain on the wall
These drugs have taken it all
