Dying
By Mistress Shadow
Slowly old and cherished friendships
break and dwindle without knowing why.
Music which shaped all that lead
to those first steps shall no longer be created.
Things once loved are shadowed memories
while words roll from the tongue of them.
Mastered skills turn to those of
child scrawls leading to failure.
Depression is the name of the pond
and it seems I’m sinking slowly
to the dark some end.

This left me with a want for more, but the brevity of this is what was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
