...Thoughts that betray

By SolApathy

Into myself I feel the desire to withdraw
Depressing feelings, gnaw
I can’t seem to escape this bubble
Desolation, isolation, regret, fear
Though there is no memory tied to these dark thoughts I hear
I’m breaking and I can hear myself shatter
How is it there is nothing wrong, and yet I feel
Battered?
Feelings not tied to any meanings
My own mind betraying the smile I should feel
Instead into a cocoon of misery I wish to lay
Isolated from the world
Forever I could
…Stay
