Into the shadow of what I thought would last
My mind took from me; my future and past
petrifying thoughts control time
Insanity consuming my mind
Outrageous rage to comatose calm
In one day like a pendulum; broken
I swing far beyond limits of society’s norms
In my soul; brewing storms
Erratic epiphany of things I surely cannot be
Laying upon the bed; trapped upon this crushing mental sea
No shore to look for as I drift upon a lone thought
My memories, taut
Inflexible & perplexed
Your rational thoughts can’t slip through to the one you once knew
I am a stranger in my own mind
Thoughts disheveled and disturbed
I can see you perturbed
Yet I can’t say a
…Word
