...Barren

By SolApathy

Upon the rocks of this barren shore

You know your broken dreams are no more

chaos in our life -- jagged memories drop me to my knees

Break against rocks on this barren beach

Reflection of the water  --breaking our will

Never will I be content in the life I so poorly

spent

Breaking up on rocks

Wishing I had only

bent
