Escaping....Me

By SolApathy

Into the abyss
What if they knew our lives were like this?
…if they could feel what it is to never
Heal
Every moment stealing your smiles
Every laugh in the crowd making you cringe
Wishing to just be alone
Again
Into the silence where the real screams begin
No end
To the thoughts out of control
Runaway train of my soul
My pills grant me the serenity to be
But then I’m no longer
…Me

Even the thought of being around people while being sober was enough to send me into a panic attack of epic proportions. I remember that I used to be so exhuberant, and I really wish that I could be that woman again. Very honest and brutal in an artistic way. Queen Reb:).
