Insomnia Cure
By Purposelessness
This chamber is my home now
I'm not sure how long I've been here
The walls drip grey
The hours fall away
I have forgotten how to feel
Long for sleep
He enters and my heart awakens
He touches my skin
The heat is unbearable
But I'll take what I can get
The contact saves me
But am I safe?
What is worse?
This existence.
I change my mind
My head beneath the surface
Sweet sleep finally
As I drown myself in the bucket

powerful and evocative .. i could feel the squalor and isolation. can't think of anything worse than being cooped up in solitary somewhere. i like that it's not overstated. the first verse, which is my fave, reminds me of the film/book fight club.. 'i have forgotten how to feel' .. nicely done

I definitely echo the sentiments of Kaiser. This is very emotional. Welcome to DP.
