Cumbersome disguise

By molock

i want to feel you again,
but i can't break through
the barrier that's in between.
don't know if i can take the
pain,
can i make it through another
day?
I'm still holding on,
...but i can feel you slipping
away.

so i wear this disguise,
it helps hide the destruction
taking place on the inside.
i can't move mountains,
...i guess I'll have to climb.
with each step,
the love that once grew,
slowly dies,
when i reach the top
maybe I'll have the strength
to take off this cumbersome
disguise...

my love for you lives in vain,
no one else could ever take
your place...
even if it causes my heart to
break,
i will love you for forever and
a day.
I'm still holding on,
but i can feel you slipping
away.

Love is painful. It causes some of the worst pain, but we hold on. We try and try. This hurt. I'm sorry you had to feel this.

We move on a find another more worthy of our attentions Mo. Only then can we look back in recollection; with less pain and loss. Until then...Cheers! - Dan
