Just now, just this, for just a little while

By Adagios

Let me taste a bit of your truth
Just now i've misplaced my own
Let me drink of deep vermouth
Plant seeds which oaks are grown

Let me wear that sly repose
Propriety and sun soaked grin
When my recline tends toward verbose
Marinading in evening gin

Lend me those parts corporate climes
Find amenably composed
These pathetic tear splashed rhymes
Signal my seasons close

The gloaming calls and mask is husk
Even griefs veneer is thin
Grant me your dawn to swaddle dusk
Before this end begins

You, who knew me in youth’s vigor
Long before dissolution and grief
Stole my desire for breathing, severed
Let me bathe in your warm relief

This shape a long recalled sanctum
The visage of austerity
Your voice is like a springtime hymn
In your words are gaia’s melody

Let me sit by still waters of your peace
For just the briefest time
For soon I go to seek release
And some final exit find

And if not, thanks be now to you
For warmth is in short store
Shorter are goodbyes my friend
On the night's plutonian shore

Adagios, I really can't express beyond this lament of stupor; the more I read, the more intoxicated I began to feel ... Love & Loathed both come to mind;).
