6 strange days

By molock

I'm Killin' time,

staring into this,

...candle light.

this broken glass,

has kept me up all

night.

down the hall,

i hear a baby cry.

there's a sucker born

every minute,

....guess i pray to

Jesus Christ.

this killin' time,

is killin' me.

i was lookin' for

my soul,

and it brought me

to my knees.

through the walls,

i could hear the city

groan.....

i lost my faith,

....for six strange days.

just killin' time,

watching the stars

from Orion fall

from the sky...

this broken glass,

makes everything seem

alright...

a Judas kiss,

for my resurrection...

this killin' time,

is killin' me again.

from my lips,

the mighty have

fallen...

this killin' time,

is killin me.

i lost my soul,

and it brought me

to my knees...

through the walls,

i could hear the city

groan....

i lost my faith,

...for six strange

days...

I'm curious: What happened to the 7th day? Or was the 7th day detailing the 6 days thus the question answered for the 7th day missing? ... Confusing, hmm, I know ... which is the way I feel about this piece ... Mo, you don't know this, but man do I love poems that scramble my brain! ... ;) ... Sis

This is about a 6 day crystal meth binge, where the person feels as if they've lost there soul along the way. The broken glass is a reference to using a broken light bulb to smoke meth. Thanks as always your comments and insight are always welcome. Cheers sis .....mo

There's a nice sense of imagery to this piece. Nicely done.
