The only honest nursery rythme
By Adagios
Withered welcome,
chilled respite
lost are mornings
mourned delights
long lost senses
frigid fright
borne of sorrow
birthed to night
still the image
borrowed light
burned to eyelids
lost to sight
closed off vision
wished respite
recalled warmth
My lovers cries
sudden daylight
Now reminds
your only pose
locked in my mind.
Memory is a is a cruel mistress, and the earth a cold bedchamber

The closing lines are truly heart wrenching, darling. Memories have the ability to keep us in the past, especially when we really need to move forward. Beautiful work, dearest. Reb:).
