Nephilim

By Phalanx

Somewhere in the dark,
Where no one told us to go I found something that
Listened for light.
What I found makes me hestitant for caution.
This is where monsters wait and we dance as
If we're the ugliest in the room.
You touched me where I grew horns.
Even the half breeds hope for the sunshine
Walking through leaves of grass.
I live in a place where I choose to personify hope,
No matter the wrong I've done.
There is space and time for correction.
It starts where your heart makes a wish and
Knows it must choose war.
