I really want to go home.
By Phalanx
I decay one brick at a time
Gouging windows with a wish.
We exist and we do pretty well
As long as we don't remember a pulse.
"My word!", is an expression I use
Because it's poignant.
I can't imagine, having so,
That we are so far apart.
I want to die inside you.
Touch my hands and face
In this chaos.
I can't fully right myself
Like I actually had a purpose,
Without you.
You with face, I miss you so.
It's not something I want,
It's what I need.
I wish I knew what you look like
So I could trace your curves with my hands.
I'm a blind man appreciating canvas,
Cutting you from cloth,
Stretching you over a shape I imagine
Hoping you come to life
So I can die brand new.
I love you so much more
Than the silhouette against sunlight.
You're the only home I've ever known without an address.
