Broken Toys

By Mona

Revenge is the downfall of a world's sinister war
Choose your weapon wisely, I believe there's more
Room on the plane heading for an endless shore
We brought ourselves up against the dark endless night
One last time, we'll dance in the stars of your eyes
But if you can't fly, raise your hands to the sky.

Take a hard good look at what's been broken
Because what you kept hidden couldn't be stolen
Even when tragedy brought us closer to heaven
Even if we're just scared of the distant lights
Find ourselves better when we do what's right
Sometimes I feel like they never ask why.

It's evident that we're programmed to act and not question. Those who step out-of-line fall broken to a forgotten shore. Such anger and confusion in your pen, I value each written word. -You're a treasure to be cherished, write on♥ Scholar

Some of the lines did end-rhyme but there was no meter or set rhyme sceme between the verses. So I take it to be a freestyle form I'm not familiar with, must check out other work by the author maybe understand better then? Scholar
