Civilian

By Phalanx

I make it rain when I'm pissing towards heaven.
I make my way with words, crushing contradiction,
Wishing I were 6'9" and 250 lbs.
The truth is, all I have is the anger the giants left behind.
I look for the reasurrance in myself that I can stand and
Save what I love from the fallout but,
The military won't take a midget.
Living inside dreams keeps the hope fire stoked,
A fools armory.
Envisioning so much sacrifice,
Cradling the pain and telling it stories of how
It will be released is in preparation for every possible death.

How do I live?

I know nothing of war but, with myself,
Maybe even that can teach you to kill.
In some way, if you can survive yourself,
Goliath may not be so bad.
