Dust

By megaprime81

Dreams turn to dust
As daily they fall
The mirror shatters
And the pieces cut
The river floods
And drowns me
Such is life
Without you

Peace restored
The fire burns
As of the sun
The river bed calms
The storms all pass
Such is life
With you

I'd rather be with
Than without you
Your love I desire
To burn like a pyre
As the oceans teem
With life
Out of ashes
I can be reborn
By calming words
Of assurance

Without you,
I am nothing
An anonymous no one
With absoute pain
And strife
Dominating my life
