Check the Mirror

By megaprime81

Every time i check the mirror
Less and less i see
A broken man with a shattered heart
Lying deep in apathy

The mirror never lies
It sees what you forget about
It shows you all your deepest flaws
You don't want them to see

If you reflect long enough
You might lose yourself
In images you breed
Sever the connection to the mirror
Would that even set you free?

Sometimes the mirror is a portal
Into a place you can't conceive
All you have to do is change all that you are
Maybe then you might believe

Staring too long into mirrors freaks me out, especially antique ones... :) Nice one*

Much thanks. All i do is write them down; the muse is the composer. Without him, i'd be talentless.
